FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
If something isn't covered here, ask it in the consultation, or send it over beforehand.
-
How do I get started?
Send an enquiry and we'll book a free 30-minute consultation. We talk through your goals, your training history and anything that has limited you, and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit. Nothing is booked before that.
-
I haven't trained in years. Is this appropriate for me?
Yes. A good number of clients start from very little, or were never taught properly the first time. Everything begins with an assessment, so the training starts where you actually are rather than where a program assumes you are.
-
I already train seriously. Is this still worth it?
Yes, this is often where coaching pays for itself fastest. If you're consistent but guessing at structure and progression, having someone watching every rep and writing the plan around your assessment tends to move things quickly.
-
How long is a session?
One hour, coached start to finish. That covers preparation and corrective work, the training itself, and a cool-down.
-
How often should I train?
Most clients train two or three times a week. We'll settle on a frequency during the consultation based on your goals and what your schedule realistically allows.
-
Can I train with someone else?
Yes. You can train privately, with one partner you bring, or in a group of three you put together. All three are personal training, with everyone assessed and programmed individually. I don't match strangers into groups, and there are no drop-in classes.
-
Do you offer online coaching?
No. Training is in person, in St. Petersburg, and every hour is coached by me.
-
What does it cost?
Private training is $100 a session, $95 in a block of four, or $90 in a block of eight. Partner training is $75 per person, down to $65. Small-group training is $60 per person, down to $50. Partner and small-group prices are per person, and the consultation beforehand is free.
-
What should I wear or bring?
Clothes you can move in, training shoes, and water. Nothing else is required for a first session.
-
I have an old injury. Can I still train?
Usually, yes. We assess how you move, train around what needs avoiding, and progress as things improve. Training is not medical care. If something is being treated, we work alongside the person treating it rather than in place of them.
